Cook's celebration was understated. He knocked helmets and slapped hands with his teammates. In fact, Cook may have been too chill about the whole thing. Despite throwing his first NFL touchdown pass, Cook ran off the field without securing the football.

At the least, Cook will have more of a fighting chance than the last undrafted rookie QB the Jets trotted out to start. That was exactly one day shy of 50 years ago Sunday — Dec. 15, 1975.
