The Los Angeles Rams lost a heartbreaker to the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday night, blowing a 16-point fourth-quarter lead and losing in overtime, 38-37. It was as painful a loss as they've suffered this season, dropping to 11-4 and relinquishing their lead in the NFC West, as well as giving up control of the No. 1 seed.

Sam Darnold appeared to throw an incomplete pass on the two-point try after Jared Verse batted it at the line, but the pass was ruled to be a lateral. It bounced forward toward the end zone where Zach Charbonnet casually picked it up, believing it was a dead ball and an incomplete pass.
Seattle won 30-24, led by two touchdowns receptions by Jaxon Smith-Njigba and 244 passing yards from Sam Darnold. The Seahawks had a 30-10 lead with 6:40 left in the third quarter after Zach Charbonnet's 5-yard touchdown run.
