The stage is set for an epic rematch as the defending champion American Heritage Patriots (8-5) face the red-hot Jones Fightin’ Tigers (12-2) in Saturday’s FHSAA Class 4A state championship game at Florida International University in Miami.

MIAMI, Fla. – The Jones Fightin’ Tigers mounted a strong 4th quarter comeback but couldn’t overcome the deficit, falling to American Heritage 33-28 in the Class 4A football state championship. This was the second straight year the two schools played each other in the state championship. Both times American Heritage won.

Highland High School graduate Aden Wiser, a senior linebacker at SUNY Cortland, was named an NCAA Div. III football all-American.
